TORTURE HOME: Minister of Gender, Children’s Affairs Speaks
How can I help?
For the activists: Tiger Eye app
Watch the demo video to learn how it works.
What does this app do?
The Tiger Eye app is a video recording app that helps you fight corruption by exposing it.
The app helps you record corruption without drawing attention to yourself by silently recording in the background, while you do other things on your screen.
For example, you can browse the internet while recording, or use any other app.
Why should I use this app?
To record in a slightly safer way, and to have proof of corruption taking place when reporting it to Anas, or to the police.
What should I do with the video that I recorded?
You have a couple of options, and you can choose any or all of these.
Send your video to Anas by using this form.
– OR –
Report corruption to police, or any official in charge of the corrupt person in your video.
– OR –
Share the video with others on social media if you need public support.

Download the APK file to get an extra safety feature – Notify A Friend.

What is an APK?
APK stands for Android Package Kit and is the file format that Android devices use to distribute and install apps. It contains all the elements that an app needs to install correctly on your device.
Why is this version of the Tiger Eye app not on the Google Play Store?
Due to the recent changes in the Google Play Store policies, the original version of the Tiger Eye app, which had the extra security feature, Notify a Friend had to be taken off the store.
The Notify a Friend feature sends an SMS with your geolocation to your chosen contact when you start and stop recording. We created this feature to keep you safe while recording undercover.
If you would like to use the version of the app which has this feature included (version 2.1.8) you need to download the APK file.
How do I install the APK file?
You can find instructions on how to install the APK on your device here.
Remember: After installing the APK you should enable the “Draw over other apps” permission in your phone’s settings. You can find it in settings > apps > Tiger Eye app.
Turning on “Draw over other apps” will enable you to record while the app is in the background. On some devices, this permission is called “App that can appear on top”.
